Featured Artists : Athena Athena is a group of four guys: Gökhan, Ozan, Hakan, and Turgay. They run towards the ska genre, and are quite unique. These guys are loud and fun. They also don't wear a lot of clothes, but hey, I'm not complaining. Their lyrics also often stress how different (or crazy) they are, but stress the fact that there's nothing wrong with being different (or crazy). In the music video to the song Çatal Yürek, the setting is that of a mad scientist laboratory, and the four band members waddle around with brown paper bags over their heads, each paper bag with a picture of their faces pasted to the front. I don't know if it's just me, but I find that very amusing. It's easy for me to say that Athena has become one of my favorite bands. I like how they don't necessarily take themselves seriously all the time. Gökhan (red hair) is the lead singer, Turgay the drummer, Ozan the bass player, and Hakan the guitarist. Gökhan and Hakan are twins! I love Athena's energy and outlook on life, which focuses on embracing your own differences and living in the present. The name of the band is also well-chosen: Athena is the goddess of victory, which I feel suits the band's attitude. Short Song Clips
