Featured Artists : Deniz Seki

Right now I am sad to say I only have one of Deniz Seki's CDs, but I'm looking forward to getting some more. I love her voice, which is strong, fresh, energetic and playful. It makes her songs a lot of fun to listen and sing along to.

I was introduced to Deniz Seki through her latest album Aşkların En Güzeli, and I would highly recommend it. The album consists solely of Turkish songs from the 1960's and the 1970's remade by Deniz Seki in a more modern way. There are some great songs on it, although I haven't heard the original versions of many of them so I can't quite compare her to the original, but I love Deniz Seki's version. She has a very beautiful voice, and the songs aren't distorted with an overwhelming amount of techno and bass, which is always a plus.
