Featured Artists : Sertab Erener

To tell you the truth, with Sertab Erener's first album I liked her music, but there were only a couple of songs that I loved. However, with her most recent album, Aşk Ölmez (which I've yet to translate and put up here), I have truly become a fan. With Aşk Ölmez, she seems to have matured a lot.

Sertab Erener is all about being natural. She keeps her image down-to-earth and, as you can see from the image to the right and the rest of the photos I have scanned below, she is pretty different from the mainstream image of a pop singer.

Sertab's voice reflects her outlook in that it's free and strong, fresh and full of energy. She can hit those high notes and hold them. Her image is lighthearted, uplifting and playful, a quality also of her songs. Sertab was also the 2003 Eurovision winner with her song Every Way That I Can (which is in English). She has also released an album, No Boundaries, in English as well.
